January was cute I guess.. well actually it was a bit of a boring month for me. Let’s just call it a ‘warm up’ for 2019???

So I just about survived January...with some money still in the bank after the Christmas splurge…

Maybe you dropped a few pounds and saved some coin £$¥ due to an alcohol-less month (dry January)/being forced to eat soup, water and fresh air for brekkie, lunch and dinner? #BROKE

or...perhaps Jan was a bit of an anti-climax after all the Christmas & New Years hype and that new gym habit lasted just 3 days?! Dw, me too sis :(

However amazing or crap your January was, it’s a BRAND NEW MONTH and I’ve pulled together some amazing ideas that will defo add a little spice to the rest of the year and beyond!!

Sit back, get a snack and read on! Here are 5 Things You MUST Add To Your Bucket List This Year…

1. SKY DIVE

Oh so you thought I was going to start small?

If you don’t like the idea of jumping out of a plane and plummeting at high speed then why not take the lower risk option and go sky diving indoors?

Click here for UK indoor sky diving venues and here for outdoors.

Word for the wise, please keep your mouth closed if you don’t have a full helmet! Dribble all over your face ain’t cute lol x

I did an indoor sky dive in Birmingham, UK at the Bear Grylls adventure. It took a few attempts to get used to the correct body position in the air but it was honestly so much fun, I’d defo recommend it!

2. SOLO TRAVEL

Have you ever just thought to yourself ‘I really want to go to Spain, if only I was brave enough to go alone?’

Well I am here to tell you GO FOR IT! What on earth are you waiting for? There is a whole world out there to explore and sometimes waiting around for people might mean you’ll be waiting a VERY long time.

I went to Gran Canaria for my first ever solo holiday in 2017, I spent around 4 days in a lovely hotel called Bohemia Suites & Spa. I planned out exactly what I wanted to do each day so that I wouldn’t have too many boring moments. It was one of the best holidays I have ever had once I had gotten over feeling a bit weird dining alone and taking selfies in public etc…

Lonely Planet has so much inspo for solo travel and some amazing travel guides*, it defo helped having some tips before I went!

3. VOLUNTEER FOR A GOOD CAUSE

I will soon be off to East Africa to volunteer with IVHQ (look out for future posts about the trip).

This isn’t the first time I am volunteering abroad but I am very much excited, although slightly nervous! I had an incredible experience last time and I know that this trip will be amazing too!

Check out my Go Fund me page for more info and of course feel free to donate to support the trip :)

Volunteering does not have to be abroad, there are always local charities and initiatives that are seeking volunteers. I am based in London so here are some below that are in and around London…

4. HAVE AN ADVENTURE DAY

Ok that’s enough Netflix, put down that chocolate bar…get up out of your bed and head outside for once! Yes it is a bit cold at the moment, you can always wait till spring/summer for some of these or be a true adventurer and brave the wind, rain and storms (ha, yeah right!)

I’m sure you can convince two or three friends to come along with you, there are so many adventures waiting for you.

Just some ideas with links to get ya started…Go ape, Zorbing, Escape rooms, Trampoline park. Canoeing/Kayaking, Climbing wall

Why not try something you’ve never done before! Let me know in the comments section what you plan on trying out this year?

5. DO SOMETHING CREATIVE

Have you ever been to a pottery class? When’s the last time you drew something or coloured in? Primary school maybe?

There’s so many creative things you can do to spark your inner artist!

Check out a Pottery class, an Art course for beginners or DIY, get yourself a nice set of colouring pencils* and an adults colouring book* and get stuck in. If you are a cocktail lover like moi, why not learn to make your own drinks at ABQ London? Or try your hand in a cooking class for Pan-Asian cuisine…

I hope this post has given you a few ideas, defo let me know if you end up trying any!! I’m challenging myself to step outside my comfort zone in 2019 and beyond!

Love and blessings,
